Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effects of factors such as the position and type of business, the age of the entrepreneurs, the state of education, the time of the livestock, the presence of animals and the race, which is considered to be effective for the satisfaction and sustainability of the major livestock in the province of Muş. The research material consists of the survey data made in the Muş province center and 346 in 5 districts. The cross-tables of the obtained data were created in the SPSS package program and for the importance test a ki-core analysis was made. The analysis found that according to the frequency values, 59.4 percent of entrepreneurs were satisfied with the livestock and 88.9 percent wanted to continue the livestock; 43.3 percent of entrepreneurs did not have other jobs, 20 percent. Factors such as that one finds that livestock is profitable, 18.5 percent of the income they earn is sufficient to them, 9.4 percent loves livestock, and the reason why it is not profitable (72.5 percent), there is no time (21.5 percent) and I don’t love livestock (6 percent). The position and type of enterprise that has an impact on the satisfaction and, the age and education of the entrepreneurs, the time of the livestock, the presence of the animal and the race have been found significant (p<0.01). As a result, it has been determined that the entrepreneurs are satisfied with the livestock and that factors such as profitability to continue their livestock activities, the consideration of sufficient earnings and the absence of other jobs are at the forefront. For the continuity of the enterprises, it is believed that incentives to increase income from livestock and reduce costs will be beneficial.
