Abstract:

For centuries, the Armenians who lived in peace and peace under the protection of the Ottoman State, due to the weakness of authority in the Ottoman State and the influence of the nationalist flow spread by the French Opposition throughout the world, have engaged in some separatist activities. These nationalist and separatist activities of the Armenians have also been supported by the imperialist states that have emulated the region. The tendency to stand next to the stronger of the history of the Armenians once again showed itself when the Western alliance increasingly gained power in the face of the Ottoman State. Thus, the Armenians, who are behind the support of some states, have begun rebellions against the Ottoman State, in accordance with the dream of an independent great Armenia. These rebellions were more prominent in the east of Anatolia. One of the most important rebels in the region and supported by foreign countries is the rebels in Sason. The 1894 and 1904 seasonal rebels, which formed one of the influential points of the Armenian rebels in Eastern Anadolu, are the subject of this study. The study, on the one hand, referred to the attitudes of the great states of the period in the Sason events and the activities of the Armenian gangs, on the other hand, the attitude of the Ottoman State against the rebellions. The subject was tried to be illuminated using the Ottoman archive documents, memories, official communications, translations, press and authorship works.
