Abstract:

Logic education is important for correct thinking and making the-right decisions. This is because especially young individuals' wrong decisions can sometimes lead to significant consequences. Logic is not just a theoretical knowledge that needs to be learned, because the results of the reasoning we make turn into practice and behavior. Therefore, the emphasis in logic education should be on practical application. The reflection of this in life will be in the form of good thinking of individuals. The equivalent of correct thinking in reasoning is that it conforms to the rules, and its equivalent in knowledge is that it conforms to the facts. The majority of logical fallacies caused by the errors in knowledge, content, and reality, emphasis should be placed on addressing logical fallacies in logic education. Especially in critical problem situations where logical thinking is often employed, a good understanding of logical rules will significantly prevent falling into fallacies. However, it should not be inferred from these suggestions that individuals should solely be pure reasonably beings because humans are also emotional beings. Therefore, emotions have a significant impact on the content of logical reasoning and the decisions made. As emotions can lead individuals towards the right and the good, they can also lead in the opposite direction; therefore, emotional management is necessary. Through this study, it is recommended to focus on the importance of emotional balance as the basis for correct thinking in logic education, then to focus on the topic of logical fallacies and the topic of syllogism should be integrated across all courses to achieve this goal.
