Abstract:

The research aims to identify the methods of play teaching used in the teaching of Turkish music playing in accordance with the opinions of teachers who work in the higher education institutions that provide professional music education in Turkey. The research is an imaginary research and is carried out with a scan model. The study’s work group consists of 62 teachers working in higher education institutions that provide professional music education in Turkey. In the study, the survey form, which consists of three sections, was used as a data collection tool. In the first part of the prepared survey, the participants were asked questions about demographic information, the methods of playing they used in the second part, and in the third part, the characteristics they sought in the methods and the methods they used in the playing teaching. The findings of the research have been found at the latest, at the beginning level of play teaching the priority of the situations; position-touch knowledge, play knowledge and technical knowledge, at the middle level; technical knowledge, entonation, work execution and authority knowledge, at the advanced level; work execution, tax skills, authority knowledge and technical knowledge. It has been found that in all levels written studies and exercises were used, that there was a lot of space for technical studies, that technical studies were given on both works and studies. The results were achieved that the method was used at the beginning and at the middle level, and that it was not used at the advanced level. The participants have also found the results that the teaching through the wheat is most advanced and medium and they do not use a written material in the teaching through the wheat.
