Araştırmada psikolojik danışmanların kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma yeterlik düzeyleri bazı değişkenlere (cinsiyet, kıdem yılı, çalıştıkları eğitim kademesi, öğrenim düzeyi, üniversite eğitiminde yapılan bireysel psikolojik danışma oturum sayısı, bireysel psikolojik danışma için süpervizyon alıp almama, grupla psikolojik danışma oturum sayısı ve grupla psikolojik danışma için süpervizyon alıp almama) göre incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi 521 psikolojik danışmandan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada gerekli verileri elde etmek için “Çokkültürlü Psikolojik Danışma Yeterlikleri Ölçeği” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, üniversite eğitimi sırasında 21 oturum ve üstü bireysel psikolojik danışma yapan psikolojik danışmanların kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma yeterlik düzeyleri puan ortalaması, 1-5 oturum bireysel psikolojik danışma uygulaması yapanlara göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Üniversite eğitimlerinde bireysel psikolojik danışma oturumları için süpervizyon almış olan psikolojik danışmanların kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma yeterlikleri puan ortalaması, süpervizyon almamış olanlara göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Üniversite eğitimlerinde grupla psikolojik danışma oturumları için süpervizyon almış olan psikolojik danışmanların kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma yeterlikleri puan oratalaması, süpervizyon almamış olanlara göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Ancak araştırmanın sonucunda cinsiyete, kıdem yılına, çalıştıkları eğitim kademesine göre psikolojik danışmanların kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma yeterlikleri puan ortalamalarında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır. Öğrenim düzeyine ve üniversite eğitiminde yapılan grupla psikolojik danışma oturum sayısına göre kültüre duyarlı psikolojik danışma sıra ortalamalarında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmamıştır.
In the study, the levels of cultural psychological counseling qualifications of psychological consultants were studied according to certain variables (gender, postgraduate year, degree of education in which they work, degree of study, number of individual psychological counseling sessions in university education, whether or not to take supervision for individual psychological counseling, number of psychological counseling sessions with the group and whether or not to take supervision for psychological counseling with the group). The study consists of 521 psychological consultants. The research has used the "Multi-Cultural Psychological Consulting Skill" and the "Personal Information Form" to obtain the necessary data. The study found that psychological consultants who performed 21 sessions and more of individual psychological consultancy during university studies have a significantly higher score level of cultural psychological consultancy qualifications than those who performed 1-5 sessions of individual psychological consultancy. Psychological consultants who have been supervised for individual psychological consultation sessions in university studies have received a significant higher score of cultural psychological consultation qualifications than those who have not been supervised. The ratio of cultural psychological consultancy qualifications of psychological consultants who have been supervised for group psychological consultation sessions in university studies has been significantly higher than those who have not been supervised. However, according to the research, gender, senior year, and the degree of education in which they work, there was no significant difference in the scores of cultural psychological consulting skills of psychological consultants. According to the level of study and the number of sessions of psychological consultation with the group in university education, there was no significant difference in the average of the class of cultural psychological consultation.
This study aims to examine the multicultural counseling competence levels of counselors according to certain some variables (gender, year of seniority, the educational grade level they are working at, personal education level, number of individual counseling sessions in the course of university education, whether individual counseling was supervised, number of group counseling sessions and whether group counseling was supervised). Participants of the study consist of 521 counselors. “Multicultural Counseling Competencies Scale” and “Personal Information Form” were employed to collect the study data. Counselors who had practiced 21 or more individual counseling sessions were found to have a significantly higher mean score than those counselors who had practiced one to five sessions. Counselors who had been supervised in individual counseling sessions in the course of their university education were found to have a significantly higher mean score when compared to the counselors who had not received any supervision. Counselors who had received supervision for group counseling sessions in the course of their university education were found to have a significantly higher mean score than the counselors who lacked any supervision. On the other hand, the study found no significant differences in the mean scores according to gender, the year of seniority, educational grade levels they are working at and no significant differences in the mean rank scores according to number of group counseling sessions and education level.
