SPOR YAPAN VE SPOR YAPMAYAN ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN AKADEMİK ERTELEME DÜZEYLERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMA-SI

Bu çalışmada spor yapan ve spor yapmayan üniversite öğrencilerinin eğitim yaşantılarında var olan akademik erteleme düzeyleri yaş, cinsiyet gibi farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırma grubunu 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında, Gazi Üniversitesi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi ve Ankara Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören toplam 364 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Bu öğrencilerden 180’i spor yaparken, 184 öğrenci spor yapmamaktadır. Çalışmada Çakıcı tarafından 2003 yılında geliştirilen Akademik Erteleme Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bu ölçek öğrencilerin ders çalışma, sınavlara hazırlanma, proje hazırlama gibi öğrenim yaşantılarında yapmakla sorumlu oldukları görevleri içeren 12’ si olumsuz, 7’ si olumlu olmak üzere toplam 19 ifadeden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğinin Cronbach alpha güvenirlik katsayısı .92 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, spor yapmayan öğrencilerinin spor yapan öğrencilerine göre akademik erteleme davranışlarını daha fazla gösterdiklerini ortaya koymaktadır.

In this study, the levels of academic delay that exist in the educational lives of university students who do sports and do not sports have been studied in terms of different variables, such as age, gender. The research group formed a total of 364 university students who studied at Gazi University, Hacettepe University and Ankara University in the 2017-2018 educational year. 180 of these students do sports, while 184 students do not do sports. The study used the Academic Delay Measurement developed in 2003. This scale consists of a total of 19 expressions, including 12's negative, 7's positive, which include the tasks students are responsible for doing in their learning experiences, such as teaching, preparing for exam, preparing for project. The Cronbach alpha reliability ratio is .92. The findings from this study show that students who do not do sports show more academic delay behavior than students who do sports.

In this study, academic procrastination levels in the educational life of university students who do sports and do not do sports are examined in terms of different variables such as age and gender. The participants consisted of 364 students attending at Gazi University, Hacettepe University and Ankara University. While 180 of these students do sports, 184 students do not play sports. “The Academic Procrastination Scale” developed by Yorulmaz, Çakıcı ve Gülebağlan, (2003) was administered to the participants. This scale includes the tasks that students are responsible for doing in their learning life, such as studying, preparing for exams, preparing projects, and also a total of 19 statements, 12 of which are negative, 7 of which are positive for the students. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was found to be .92.The collected data were analyzed by using ANOVA and the findings revealed that non- sports participant students showed more academic procrastination behaviors than sports the participating.
