Türkçe Öğretmen Adaylarının Dört Temel Dil Becerisine İlişkin Metaforik Algıları

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı; Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının Türkçenin eğitimi ve öğretimi alanının dört temel dil becerisi olan dinleme, konuşma, okuma ve yazma becerilerine ilişkin metaforik algılarını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma, olgu bilim (fenemonoloji) desenine uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu; 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümünde öğrenim gören dördüncü sınıf öğretmen adaylarından oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya toplam 30 öğretmen adayı katılmış ve katılımda gönüllülük esas alınmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında, araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan bir form kullanılmıştır. Formun birinci kısmında, Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının kişisel bilgiler bölümüne yer verilmiş; ikinci kısmında ise adayların Türkçe eğitimi ve öğretimi alanının dört temel dil becerisine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla “Dinleme …..………a/e benzer; çünkü …..………”, “Konuşma…..………a/e benzer; çünkü …..………”, “Okuma …..………a/e benzer; çünkü …..………”, “Yazma …..………a/e benzer; çünkü …..………” şeklinde eksik bırakılmış dört cümleye yer verilmiştir. Böylece Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının Türkçe eğitimi ve öğretimi alanının dört temel dil becerisine ilişkin algılarını hangi metaforlarla ortaya koydukları, ortaya çıkan metaforların gerekçeleri ve bu metaforların ortak özellikleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde nitel araştırma desenine uygun olarak içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; 30 Türkçe öğretmeni adayı dinleme becerilerine ilişkin 26, konuşma becerilerine ilişkin 24, okuma becerilerine ilişkin 25 ve yazma becerilerine ilişkin 26 farklı metafor geliştirmiştir. Öğrenme üzerinde etkili bir araç olan metaforların, etkili bir şekilde Türkçe öğretiminin gerçekleşmesinde kullanılabileceğin yanı sıra bu alanın dört temel dil becerisi olan dinleme, konuşma, okuma ve yazma becerilerine ilişkin zihinsel imgeleri ortaya çıkardığı görülmektedir.

The aim of this research is to show the metaphoric perceptions of Turkish teacher candidates on the four basic language skills of the education and teaching of Turkish, which involve listening, speaking, reading and writing. The research has been conducted in line with the phenomenology pattern. The study group of the research consists of 4th grade Teacher Students who were studying in the Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Education at the Department of Turkish Education in the spring semester of the 2013-2014 academic years. 30 teacher candidates participated in the research and participation was on a volunteer basis. A questionnaire which was prepared by the researcher was used to collect the research data. In the first part of the questionnaire, the personal information of the Turkish Teacher candidates was included; in the second part questionnaire, sentences such as “Speaking is like…..; because….”, Listening is like…..; because….”, “Writing is like…..; because….” and “Reading is like…..; because….” were used to learn the opinions of the candidates about the four basic language skills of Turkish education and teaching. Thus, with which metaphors Turkish Teacher Candidates established their perceptions about the four basic language skills in Turkish education and teaching, the reason of the emerging metaphors and the common characteristics of these metaphors were tried to be determined. The content analysis method consistent with the qualitative research pattern was used in the evaluation of the obtained data. When research results are examined; 30 Turkish teacher candidates developed 26 different metaphors for listening skills, 24 different metaphors for speaking skills, 25 different metaphors for reading skills and 26 different metaphors for writing skills. It is observed that metaphors which are the efficient instruments on education can be used efficiently in the implementation of Turkish teaching and they can reveal the mental images about listening, speaking, reading and writing which are the four basic language skills of this field.
