Abstract:

Teaching Turkish is carried out on four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Listening, which is the first language skill acquired from language skills, is the basis for the acquisition of other skills. Among the Turkish teaching skills, listening and speaking constitute the comprehension dimension of the language, and reading and writing constitute the expression dimension of the language. Considering that listening is a process starting from the mother's womb, it becomes clear how important it is in our lives. Most of whatwe learn in daily life is achieved through listening skill. In other words, learning through listening is equal to the sum of learning through speaking, reading and writing. In this respect, the effective use of listening in teaching can contribute to students' learning. For this, teachers and students should know how to listen effectively. Listening is generally divided into interactive and non-interactive listening. The type of listening in which the student is active is interactive listening. In this study, the importance of interactive listening in developing listening skills is emphasized. The research is a compilation type research and it is thought that the results to be obtained will contribute to the field.
