Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to study the teacher candidates’ level of self-sufficiency and the level of preparation for the work life. Relational scan model was used in the study. The universe of research is formed by teachers candidates who are studying in the fourth class at the Faculty of Education of the University of Prague in the 2016-2017 educational year. The study includes 249 students who were selected by random method. The study found that the level of teacher self-sufficiency beliefs significantly differ according to the variables of gender, willingness to go to the division, and the level of preparation for the work life significantly differ according to the gender, willingness to go to the division and academic success score. It has been established that the teacher candidates have a positive relationship between the level of self-confidence and the level of preparation for the business life.
