ENTROPİ TABANLI TOPSIS VE VIKOR YAKLAŞIMI İLE AKADEMİSYENLER ÜZERİNDE BİR DUYGUSAL PERFORMANS DEĞERLENDİRME: BARTIN ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinden TOPSIS ve VIKOR yöntemlerini kullanarak tükenmişlik, iş tatmini, duygusal emek ve işten ayrılma niyeti iş davranışlarına göre akademik personelin duygusal performanslarının ölçülmesidir. Akademik personelin tükenmişlik düzeyini belirleme veya duygusal emeğin etkisi üzerine çalışmalar yapılmış ve bu çalışmalarda genellikle gelir, cinsiyet, ders yükü vb. kriterleri ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada ise iş davranışları kriter olarak kabul edilerek personelin duygusal performans değerlemesi yapılmıştır.  Çalışmanın araştırma evrenini Bartın Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi’nde 2015-2016 Bahar Dönemi’nde görev yapan akademik personel oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada verilerin toplanmasında tükenmişlik, iş tatmini, duygusal emek ve işten ayrılma niyeti ölçeklerinden oluşan anket kullanılmıştır. Anket sonuçlarının analizinde ilgili kriterlerin ağırlıklandırılması Entropi yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Daha sonra çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinden sırasıyla TOPSIS ve VIKOR yöntemleri kullanılarak akademik personelin duygusal performans puanları en yüksekten en düşüğe doğru sıralanmıştır. Sonuçta iki farklı sıralama yöntemi elde edilmiş olup TOPSIS ve VIKOR yöntemlerine göre sıralama sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. İlk ve son sıralarda yer alan kişilerde benzerlikler gözlemlenmiştir.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to measure the emotional performance of academic staff according to the multi-critical decision-making techniques using the TOPSIS and VIKOR methods; exhaust, work satisfaction, emotional work and the intention to leave the job behavior. Studies have been conducted on the determination of the extinction level of academic staff or the impact of emotional work, and in these studies are often income, gender, class burden, etc. The criteria are addressed. In this study, the work behavior is considered as a criterion and the emotional performance of the staff is assessed.  The research universe of the study is formed by academic staff at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the University of Bartın in the 2015-2016 Spring Period. The study used a survey of scales of exhaust, work satisfaction, emotional work and the intention to leave the work. The analysis of the results of the survey was carried out by the Entropic method. Later, the emotional performance scores of academic staff, using the TOPSIS and VIKOR methods according to the multi-critical decision making techniques, were ranked up to the highest. After all, two different ranking methods have been achieved and the ranking results have been compared according to the TOPSIS and VIKOR methods. Similarities were observed in the first and last ranges.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the emotional performance of academicians according to burnout, job satisfaction, emotional labor, and intention to leave by using two of multi-critera decision techniques; TOPSIS and VIKOR. There have been a lot of researches about defining burnout level of academicians and effects of emotion labor on academic life by taking income, gender, teaching load et. as criteria. However, in this study, mentioned job behavior terms are considered as criteria of research so that the emotional performance is evaluated. In this study, survey is applied to academic staffs who work at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Bartın University during 2015-2016 Spring Term. The survey covers scales about burnout, job satisfaction, emotional labor, and intention to leave. First, the scales are weighted by Entropy method, and then respectively TOPSIS and VIKOR methods, are used to evaluate of performance. As a result, the academicians are listed from highest to lowest according to their emotional performances according to two different multi-criteria decision techniques, and two lists are compared with each other. It is observed that the first and the last person in the performance list were the same according to TOPSIS and VIKOR.
