Bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin rehberlik servisine ilişkin algılarının metafor yöntemi ile incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel desende gerçekleşen çalışmada 89 lise öğrencisi yer almıştır. Öğrencilerin Rehberlik Servisine İlişkin Algılarını İnceleme Formu kullanılarak toplanan veriler, içerik analiziyle analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda, öğrencilerin rehberlik servisine ilişkin algıları pozitif ve negatif olmak üzere iki ana temada toplanmıştır. Pozitif ana temasının altında rehberlik servisinin öğrenci sorunlarına çözüm üretmede, öğrencilere psikolojik destek sağlamada ve yol göstermede yardımcı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca rehberlik servisinin öğrencilere danışmanlık hizmetini sunduğu ve bilgi verme işlevini yerine getirdiği saptanmıştır. Negatif ana temasının altında ise bazı öğrencilerin rehberlik servisine karşı olumsuz bir algıya sahip oldukları, rehberlik servisinin bazen okul idaresi ile benzer bir tutum sergilediği ve bazen de öğrencilere karşı kayıtsız-ilgisiz kaldığı belirlenmiştir.
In this study, it is intended to study the perceptions of students about the guidance service by metaphor method. The study included 89 high school students. The data collected using the Students' Conceptions of the Guidance Service Review Form, is analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the analysis, the perceptions of students about the guidance service were gathered in two main topics, both positive and negative. Under the positive main topic; the guidance service has been determined to help create solutions to student problems, provide students with psychological support and guide. It is also found that the guidance service provides the students with the advisory service and performs the function of informing. Under the negative main topic, it is determined that some students have a negative perception of the guidance service, that the guidance service sometimes shows a similar attitude to the school administration and sometimes remains uninterested to the students.
This study aims to examine the perceptions of the students about the guidance service through the metaphor method. Participants of this qualitative study were 89 high school students. The data obtained through Examination Form of Students’ Perceptions Related to Guidance Service in the study were analyzed by content analysis. Based on data analysis, students' perceptions related to guidance service were divided in two main themes as positive and negative. Under the positive main theme; it was emphasized that the guidance service was helpful in providing solutions to students’ problems, psychological support and guidance to them. Also, it was determined that the guidance service provided the necessary counseling services to the students and fulfilled the function of providing information. On the other hand, under the negative main theme; it has been determined that some students had a negative perception related to guidance service and guidance service sometimes had a similar attitude with school administration. Lastly, it was found that guidance service sometimes remain negligent to the students.
