Elective Science Applications Course is one of the elective courses which Ministry of National Education (MoNE) added it to weekly time Schedule of secondary schools since 2012-2013 academic year. This study has been conducted to determine the effect of Elective Science Applications course on 7th grade students' scientific process skills. The study data were collected with semi-experimental method. The sample of the study consists of 212 7th grade students who were in the same demographic ballpark. In the study 107 students who had Elective Science Applications (ESA) course were administrated as experimental group and 105 students who didn't have were chosen as control group. Within the framework of thirty-three weeks lasted study, 21 already scheduled educational attainments of Elective Science Applications course which has no a teacher’s guidebook and a course book for instructors tried to be given the students in the experimental group. In the study as a data collection tool a Scientific Process Skill test taken from litearture and was used. The Cronbach Alfa coefficient of the Scientific Process Skill test recalculated and was found .72. The obtained data were analyzed using independent ttest. While the artihmetic mean of control group obtained from the Scientific Process Skill test was 66,64, the the artihmetic mean of experimental group obtained from the Scientific Process Skill test was found as 75,68. In the study it is concluded that the Elective Science Applications course has a positive effect on 7th grade students’ acquisition of Scientific Process Skills.
