Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to reveal the metaphoric perceptions of the teacher candidates about graduate education. In the research that is in a quality structure, the fact science (fenemonology) design has been used. The research work group; 2014-2015 educational-learning year in the spring period of the Republic University School of Education consists of 112 teachers candidates who study in the fourth grade of Pre-School Teaching, Class Teaching, Primary Mathematics Teaching, Social Information Teaching, Science Knowledge Teaching, Guidelines and Psychological Consultancy and Turkish Teaching. The research data was collected through a form consisting of a missing phrase in the form of "Graduate Education ............a/e; because ..........". In data analysis, the content analysis method was used in accordance with the quality research pattern. According to the study, 112 teachers have developed 93 different metaphors and these metaphors have been gathered in 10 categories, including “Development”, “Supper”, “Value”, “Surprise”, “Experty”, “Discovery-Research”, “Road Indicator”, “Indeficiency” and “Production”.
