So many results that aren't mine?

YUNANİSTAN’IN AVRUPA İKTİSADİ İŞBİRLİĞİ TEŞKİLATI’NA KABULÜ VE TÜRKİYE’NİN REDDİNİN BASINDAKİ YANSIMALARI (1959-1961)

Abstract:

1951’de Avrupa Kömür ve Çelik Birliği kuruldu. Kurucu ülkeler Federal Almanya, Belçika, Lüksemburg, Fransa, İtalya ve Hollanda idi. İlerleyen süreçte bu ülkelerin bir ekonomik birlikteliğe dönüştürülmesi düşünüldü. Böylece hem ekonomik açıdan güç birlikteliği sağlanmış olacak hem de rakip ittifaklara bir mesaj verilmiş olacaktı. Bu doğrultuda 25 Mart 1957’de Roma Antlaşması imzalanarak Avrupa İktisadi İşbirliği Teşkilatı ya da bir diğer deyişle Avrupa Ekonomik Topluluğu kuruldu. Farklı alanlarda çalışacak benzeri kuruluşlar da yine bu dönemde faaliyete geçecekti. Türkiye, Avrupa İktisadi İşbirliği Teşkilatı’nın 1958’de kurulmasından sonra 31 Temmuz 1959’da ortaklık başvurusunda bulundu. Bunun eş zamanlı olarak da aynı teşkilata üye olmak için Yunanistan’da gerekli girişimlerde bulundu. Yunan Hükümeti’nin yaptığı başvurunun kabulü ve buna karşılık Türkiye’nin reddi kamuoyunda yeni bir tartışma başlattı. Konu, basının gündeminde ağırlıklı olarak yer tuttu. Yapılan resmi açıklamalar ve gerçekleştirilen ziyaretler de bu dönemi daha anlaşılır kılabilmemiz için önemli veriler sunmaktadır.

Reflectons In Press Of The Accession Of Greece To The European Economic Coopreration Organisation and Rejection Of Turkey (1959-1961)

Abstract:

In 1951 European Coal and Steel Community was established. Founders were Federal Germany, Belgium Luxemburg, France, İtaly and Netherlands. This community was planned  to be transformed into an Economic Union in the future. By forming such an union it was aimed both to unify the members’ powers and to send a massage to the rival unions. In this direction European Economic Community was establised with the Treaty of Rome in 25 March 1957. In this period some other institutions were established in order to operate in different fields. Turkey applied to the Community in 31 July 1959 after the establisment of European Economic Community. Simultaneously, Greece also applied to the Community in order to be a member state. The acceptence of the Greek apply and refusal of Turkish, caused a new debate in the public opinion. The issue took part in the press predominantly. The formal statements and visits also offer important informations to understand the period.
