Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’nin NATO’ya dâhil edilmesi sürecini ve TBMM’de kabul edilip onaylanması sırasında yaşananları araştırmaktır. II. Dünya savaşı sonrasında Türkiye’de çok partili döneme geçilmiştir. Türkiye bununla Batı Bloğu içinde yer almayı amaçlamıştır. CHP döneminde NATO’nun kuruluş aşamasında, bu kuruluşun bir parçası olabilmek için çalışmalar başlatılmıştır. Ancak uzun bir süre Türkiye’nin NATO’ya üyeliği kabul edilmemiştir. 1945 yılında başlayan Sovyet tehdidine karşı Türkiye, 1947 yılına kadar yalnız mücadele etmek zorunda kalmıştır. 1947 yılından itibaren Türkiye’ye ABD yardım etmeye başlamıştır. Ancak ABD’nin yardımları tek taraflı idi. Türkiye ile ABD arasında karşılıklı bir anlaşma bulunmuyordu. Yardımların son bulması muhtemeldi. Bu sebeple Türkiye NATO’nun kuruluş aşamasından itibaren bu kuruluşun bir parçası olmak için çalışmalarını başlatmıştır. Türkiye NATO’ya 1952 yılında üye olabilmiştir. Türkiye’nin NATO’ya dâhil edilmesinde Türkiye’nin isteklerinden daha ziyade dünyada yaşanan gelişmeler etkili olmuştur. Bunların başında SSCB’nin yayılmacı politikalarının yanı sıra atom bombasına sahip olması gelmektedir. Türkiye’nin NATO’ya üye olması konusu mecliste görüşülerek kanunlaştırılmıştır. TBMM’de Türkiye’nin NATO’ya üyeliği konusunda yapılan konuşmalara bakıldığında heyecanlı bir gün yaşandığı görülmektedir. O günün tarihi bir gün olduğu konuşmalarda vurgulanmıştır. NATO’ya üyelikle, Türkiye’nin Batı Bloğu içinde yer alması ve böylece Sovyetler karşısında yalnızlıktan kurtulması ve Türkiye’de demokrasi sürecini devam ettirmek amaçlanmıştır. NATO üyesi olmak Türkiye’nin kendini güvende hissetmesini sağlamıştır.
The aim of the study is to investigate the process of Turkey’s inclusion into the NATO and what happens during its acceptance and approval in the TBMM. and II. After the World War, there was a multi-party period in Turkey. Turkey has intended to enter the West Bloc. At the stage of NATO’s establishment during the CHP period, work was started to be part of this organization. But for a long time, Turkey has not been accepted as a member of NATO. Against the Soviet threat that began in 1945, Turkey had to fight alone until 1947. In 1947, the United States began to help Turkey. But the aid of the US was unilateral. There was no mutual agreement between Turkey and the United States. The aid may have ended. This is why Turkey has started its efforts to become part of NATO since its establishment stage. Turkey became a member of NATO in 1952. Turkey’s integration into NATO has been more effective than Turkey’s wishes in the world. In the beginning, it comes to the dissemination policies of the Soviet Union, as well as the atomic bomb. The issue of Turkey’s membership in NATO was legalized. When we look at the talks on Turkey’s membership in NATO, it seems that it was an exciting day. It was said that the day was a historic day. With membership in NATO, the aim is to ensure that Turkey is within the West Bloc and thus get rid of solitude against the Soviets and continue the process of democracy in Turkey. Membership in the NATO has made Turkey feel safe.
The aim of the study is the process of Turkey's inclusion in NATO and to investigate what happened during the approval is accepted in the Parliament. After the Second World War Turkey has started to multiparty era. At the same the same time, Turkey aimed to take place in the West Block. During the CHP period, their efforts were initiated to become a part of the NATO in the process of establishment of NATO. But Turkey's membership to NATO hasn’t been accepted for a long time. Turkey has had to struggle alone until 1947 against the Soviet threat starting in 1945. The US began to help Turkey from 1947 and. However, he US aid was one-sided. there was no mutual agreement between the US and Turkey. The aids were likely to end. For Turkey has begun works to be a part of this organization since NATO's establishment phase. Turkey has become a member of NATO in 1952. The developments taking place in the world has been effective the inclusion of Turkey's request to NATO rather than Turkey’s demands. The main thing is that the Soviet Union has an atomic bomb as well as its expansionist policies. As Turkey's NATO membership issue was discussed and legislated in parliament. When we look at the speeches made in Parliament on Turkey's NATO membership, it is seen that there is an exciting day. The history of that day was emphasized in the speeches. Turkey has got rid of loneliness across the Soviets with Turkey's NATO membership and involvement in. Western blog so, the democratic process resumed in Turkey. Turkey has felt themselves in safe by being member to NATO.
