Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the learning styles of freshmen and senior teacher candidates who are at the departments of; elementary school Education, Science and Turkish Language Education in terms of various variables. The work group was consisted of 9 Eylül University Elementary Teching department, Science Teaching department, Turkish Language Teaching department 1. Grade (n=150) and 4. Grade (n=150) students. Kolbs Learning Styles Inventory III vas employed as data gathering instrument in the study. Datum were analized in SPSS 11.00 package programme. At the end of the study meaningful level difference was found in grade level and departments of the learning styles of the teacher candidates. And also in terms of the high school departments from which they graduates their learning styles differed in reflective observation subdimension
