Abstract:

The emergence of modern manada matbaan is combined with the need for information of the bourgeois class in Europe. From the beginning of the century, newspapers began to appear. This process has occurred in England. Corantos were first published in the form of newspapers, the predecessors of the newspapers. From February 1666 the Kingdom, which took action to control the news activities, made the publication of an official newspaper called The London Gazette. Among the news sources there is a lot of information about the Turkish history in the London Gazette, which is also located in the UK’s foreign representations. Among the topics that the newspaper provides information is the Ottoman-Iran relations of the Rare Shah period. The main sources of the newspaper about this period are the British ambassades located in Istanbul and St. Petersburg. The newspapers published during this period include the Duchum that the Rare Shah lost against the Ottoman, the Kerkuk victory he won, the death of Topal Osman Pasha, the conflicts between the two states and peace talks.
