Bu araştırmanın amacı, turizm lisans öğrencilerinin yabancı dil konuşma kaygısını etkileyen faktörleri incelemek ve bu faktörlerin demografik değişkenler açısından farklılık gösterip göstermediğini analiz etmektir. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında anket tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veriler kolayda örnekleme yoluyla seçilen 376 turizm lisans öğrencisinden toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri, betimleyici istatistikler, Pearson korelasyonu, çok değişkenli regresyon analizi, Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis testleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, öğrencilerin yabancı dil konuşma kaygılarının ortalamanın biraz üzerinde olduğunu göstermektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar konuşma kaygısını en çok etkileyen faktörlerin, dersin işlenişi ve eğitimcilerin yaklaşımı olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, yabancı dil konuşma kaygısı, öğrencilerin cinsiyetine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermekte olup, kadın öğrencilerin yabancı dil konuşma kaygısı ortalamaları, erkek öğrencilerden daha yüksektir. Ancak, öğrencilerin yaşları, yabancı dil düzeyleri ve akademik not ortalamaları ile yabancı dil konuşma kaygıları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir.
The purpose of this research is to investigate, the factors influencing foreign language speaking anxiety of undergraduate tourism students' and to analyze whether there are differences in terms of demographic variables. The questionnaire technique was used in to collect of research data. The data was collected from 376 tourism undergraduate students who were selected by convenience sampling. The data obtained was analyzed using statistical package program by means of descriptive statistics techniques, Pearson correlation, multivariate regression analysis, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests. Findings of the research indicate that tourism students' of foreign language speaking anxiety level is slightly above the average. The obtained results reveal that the most influential factors affecting the speaking anxiety are the processing of the lesson and the attitude of educators. According to the findings of the study, the gender of students' creates a significant difference in the foreign language speaking anxieties. The average scores of the speaking anxiety of the female students more than male students, but there is no significant difference between the age, foreign language levels and general academic grade point average the foreign language speaking anxiety.
