Abstract:

Migration is an ancient phenomenon as the history of mankind. The human being has made massive or individual space changes for various reasons. Immigration is a natural process. Because it is part of life. The causes of immigration are different. It can be for cultural, economic or political reasons. Immigration also changes the structure of society. It allows people from different cultures to come together. Getting together can result in negative consequences as well as positively.  The individual’s harmony reveals their incompatibilities.  This situation has brought the migration to the study from different directions. The fact that the causes of immigration are different, the time, the difference in society has led to the birth of different immigration theories. The immigration has been tried to explain with different theories, taking into account its causes, forms. It is a fact that it is not just the subject of sociology, but that literature is one of the many-treated topics. In Turkish literature, one of the writers who migrated in the novels, stories and stories is Orhan Kemal. From rural to urban migration, poverty, cultural corruption, the writer Gurbet Birds in his work enters the topic of migration from village to town in the 1950s. In our study we will study the work called the Gurbet Birds, the Ravenstein Theory, the Network Relationship Theory, the Cutting Opportunity Theory, and Petersen's Five Immigration Theory.
