Abstract:

This research was done to reveal the perceptions of the courses participating in widespread training courses about painting through metaphors. The research was conducted with a total of 91 courses, including 83 women and 8 men, who participated in 7 common educational courses operating in the province of Ankara. The research methods of quality research have been used by the facts scientific design and the data have been analyzed by the content analysis technique. for the collection of data, each course has been directed to the phrase "Imaging for me is ............" and "because it is ...." and "because it is ...." The cursors were given a form to write their thoughts about painting, and the cursors were asked to write their thoughts by focusing only on one metafor. According to the research findings, the cursors produced 90 current metaphors about painting. The grouping result based on the common characteristics and descriptions of the 90 metaphors produced by the cursors in relation to the picture concept has been created 8 different categories. The study found that the teachers looked like the concepts of painting “water, sea, my children, garden, space, building, bread, kitchen, peace, therapy, immortality, medicine, television, light, flying, creating”. The conclusion is that the meanings they put on the picture concept are usually positive.
