Abstract:

Tuuml;rkiye'de meydana gelen ve binlerce can kaybına yok accedil;an pek ccedil;ok deprem yaşanmıştır. Bu depremlerden birisi olan 17 Ağustos 1999 Gouml;lcuuml;k depremi ve 12 Kasım Duuml;zce Depremleri ccedil;ok miktarda can ve mal kaybına neden olmuştur. Kuzey Anadolu fay hattı uuml;zerinde oluşan bu depremler başta deprem odak noktasının yer aldığı şehirler olmak uuml;zere, İzmit, Adapazarı Yalova, İstanbul, Duuml;zce, Bolu'da yıkımlara yol accedil;mıştır. Deprem sonrasında yaşanan yıkımlardan olumlu bir sonuccedil; ccedil;ıkartılmış ve şehirlerin yeni yapılaşma sahaları iccedil;in yer seccedil;erken zemin araştırmaları yapılmıştır. Yapılacak yeni konutlarla ilgili duuml;zenlemeler yapılmış, mevcut şehirlerin fazla uzağında olmayan sahalarda yeni yerleşim bouml;lgeleri iccedil;in yerler tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum şehirlerin gelişim youml;nlerini etkilemiştir. Bu ccedil;alışmada bu şehirlerden birisi olan Adapazarı şehrinin deprem sonrası yeniden yapılanmasında yaşanan gelişmeler ve bu gelişmelerden birisi olan afet ve toplu konut alanlarının oluşum ve nedenleri incelenmiştir. Bu alanların oluşturulmasında etkili olan kurumsal ve bireysel gerekccedil;eler ele alınmış, ayrıca yaptığımız anket ccedil;alışması ile de yeni yerleşimlerin sosyo-ekonomik ouml;zelliklerinin tespiti yapılmaya ccedil;alışılarak yeni yerleşmeler iccedil;in yapılan yer seccedil;iminin uygun olup olmadığı tartışılmıştır. Two of these earthquak es are August 17, 1999 Gouml;lcuuml;k eartguake and November 12, Duuml;zce earthquake both causing heary loss of life and property. They both occured in North Anatolian fault lines and caused major damage mainly on the earthquake centre and in nearby cities such as; Izmit, Adapazarı, Yalova, Istanbul, Duuml;zce and Bolu. After the eartquake the lassen was learned and some important measures were taken such as doing soil work on the area before starting constructions of new city sites. New arrangements were made abaut the construction of new buildings. New locations, close to the city centre, were chosen for new residential areas. This also affected hte development of cities. In this academic work, Adapazarı, one of the eartquake cities, its development. After the eartquake, construction of new residential sities and its reasons were studied. Individual, institutional motives that were instrumental in the construction of these new sites were also examined. Also, we carried out a surver in order to determine the socio-economic attributes of these new sites and to find out whether or not the chosen sites met the standards. nbsp; Key words : Earthquake, Adapazarı, Progress of city, Earthquake Houses
