Eğitim ait olduğu geleneğe yaslandığı ve o geleneğin kavramlarına dayandığı ölçüde bir karşılık bulur. İslam'da eğitim söz konusu olduğunda, bu eğitimin İslam düşünce geleneğine ve bu geleneğe ait kavramlara dayanmasının, onun karşılık bulmasında etkili olacağı açıktır. İslam düşünce geleneğinde önemli bir yer teşkil eden kavramlardan biri, hikmettir. Hikmet geniş kapsamlı bir kavram olduğundan İslam düşünce geleneğindeki izdüşümleri çeşitlilik arz etmektedir. Bununla birlikte hikmet kavramı, bu çalışmada İslam’da eğitim faaliyetinin gayesi bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Bunun için ilk olarak hikmetin İslam düşünce geleneğindeki seyri incelenmiştir. Bu incelemede hikmet kavramının iki anlamının öne çıktığı görülmüştür. Birinci anlamda hikmet, insanı iyiliklere yönelten veya kötülüklerden alıkoyan sözdür. Bu anlamda hikmet bir araç olarak görülmektedir. İkinci anlamda hikmet ise insanın gücü ölçüsünde varlığın hakikatlerini bilmek ve onun gereğini yapmaktır. Burada hikmet, bir süreci içermekle beraber, insanın ulaşması gereken nihai bir amaca işaret etmektedir. Elinizdeki makale, İslam’da eğitimin nihai gayesinin, hikmet kavramının varlığın hakikatlerini bilmek ve onun gereğini yapmak anlamı olabileceğini ileri sürmektedir. Bu araştırmanın yöntemi, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesidir. Doküman olarak hikmet kavramının geçtiği Arapça ve Türkçe sözlükler, ayetler, tefsirler, kimi İslam düşünürlerinin hikmet ve eğitim anlayışlarını içeren eserler ve din eğitimiyle ilgili çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Bu incelemenin sonunda toplanan veriler, betimsel ve içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılarak yorumlanmıştır.
An education finds a response to the extent that it is based on the tradition to which it belongs and is based on the concepts of that tradition. When it comes to education in Islam, it is clear that the fact that this education is based on the tradition of Islamic thought and the concepts of this tradition will be effective in its response. One of the concepts that has an important place in the tradition of Islamic thought is wisdom. Since wisdom is a comprehensive concept, its projections in the tradition of Islamic thought are diverse. However, in this study, the concept of wisdom is discussed in the context of the purpose of educational activity in Islam. For this, firstly, the course of wisdom in the tradition of Islamic thought was researched. It was seen that the two meanings of concept of wisdom stand out. In the first meaning, wisdom is the word that prevents human from evil or leads to goodness. In this sense, wisdom is seen as a tool. In the second meaning, wisdom is to know the truth of things in accordance with the power of human and to do what is necessary. While wisdom involves a process, it points to an ultimate goal that human should achieve. The article in your hand suggests that the ultimate purpose of education in Islam, may be the meaning of the concept of wisdom, knowing the truths of existence and doing what is necessary. The method of this research is document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. As documents, Arabic and Turkish dictionaries, verses and tafsirs, in which the concept of wisdom is mentioned, have been examined. In addition, the works that contain the wisdom and education understanding of some Islamic thinkers and studies on religious education have been researched. The data collected at the end of this review were interpreted using descriptive and content analysis techniques.
