Abstract:

The study deals with the Russian-EU relations from the concept of energy diplomacy and the "North Stream-2" pipeline project perspective. The natural gas pipeline projects carried out under the leadership of the Russian energy company Gazprom are directing the dynamics of the Russian-EU relations. This is the main argument of the work. The economic, strategic and geopolitical content of the pipeline is analyzed through the argument. Energy diplomacy is a very useful concept in terms of Russian foreign policy. In this context, Gazprom stands out as a key foreign policy actor in the process of implementing Russian energy diplomacy. The "North Stream-2" natural gas pipeline project is an important example of the scope of the relations between economic, geopolitical and foreign policy. Therefore, the geopolitical content of the "North Stream-2" project is detailed in the study. The strategic, economic and geopolitical outcomes of the project are the fictional basis of the work.
