Abstract:

The rapid development of information and communication technologies has shown the role of computer-based communication in the educational contexts. Computer-Assisted Language Learning (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) has also been developed by researchers with the research of this role in the framework of second language acquisition theories. Similarly, work on task-based language teaching has been rapidly accelerated in recent years, and these developments have transferred tasks to computer-based environments. In this regard, the researchers emphasize that the gap between computer-backed language learning and task-based language teaching should be closed for second-language research, and they pay attention to the advantages of the combination and the natural synergy of these two approaches. In this context, in the second language teaching environments, the curriculum design for the combination of these two approaches, online tasks are required. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive perspective by synthesizing the classifications towards the characteristics of online tasks in the field. In this context, after the research was included in the task-based language teaching features and the information related to the design of the curriculum in the framework of the combination of these two approaches, classifications related to the design of the curriculum and the characteristics of the online task were presented. The research resulted in a comprehensive classification in the light of the classifications for the features of the online task presented in the study.
