Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to determine the teachers' opinions about the teaching process of the Turkish course to the Syrian students. The research work group, in the 2017-2018 educational-educational year, constitutes 40 teachers working in the official schools and temporary educational centers (GEM) associated with the Ministry of National Education (PIKTES) under the Support of the Integration of Syrian Students into the Turkish Education System (PIKTES) in the Shahinbey and Şehitkâmil districts of Gaziantep. In this study, a visual scan model was used. The study used the structured "Teacher Interview Form for the Turkish learning process of Syrian students" presented by the researcher as a data collection tool. The data obtained from the structured interview form is evaluated by the content analysis method. The results of the study were the topics "Forging attention and motivation in the course preparation, teachers' opinions about the processing of the course in Turkish teaching to foreigners and the feedback process, the atmosphere of the classroom and the impact of the physical conditions of the school on the language teaching, the evaluation of the teaching program in terms of Turkish education to foreigners, the importance of the use of material in Turkish education to foreigners, the teaching methods and techniques used in Turkish teaching to foreigners".
