Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Adayları İçin Farklı Bir Deneyim: Araştırmacı Öğretmen Modeli

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının “Araştırmacı Öğretmen Modeli” hakkında bilgi sahibi olmalarını sağlamak, araştırmacı öğretmen olmaları yönünde gelişimlerini ortaya koymak ve sürece dair görüşlerini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarına 10 hafta boyunca Araştırmacı Öğretmen Modeli (AÖM) hakkında seminer verilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim döneminde Akdeniz Bölgesinde bir devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 57 sosyal bilgiler öğretmenliği son sınıf öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel kısmında ön test - son test kontrol grupsuz deneysel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca nicel verileri desteklemek ve süreci değerlendirmek için çalışma grubundan nitel veriler alınmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, uygulama sürecinde belirlenen kazanımlar doğrultusunda, uzman görüşleri alınarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan 15 maddelik AÖM Değerlendirme Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada ayrıca nicel verileri desteklemek amacıyla uzman görüşü alınarak hazırlanmış açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir form ile öğretmen adaylarından nitel veriler de alınmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri SPSS programı ve betimsel analiz ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde çalışma grubundaki sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının AÖM seminerinin kazanımlarına ulaştığını ve seminerin öğretmen adaylarını araştırmacı öğretmen olma yolunda olumlu etkilediğini söylemek mümkündür.

Social Information A Different Experience for Teacher Candidates: Research Teacher Model

The purpose of this research is to ensure that social information teachers candidates are aware of the "Research Teacher Model", to show their developments in the direction of becoming research teachers and to study their views on the process. For this purpose, social information teachers candidates have been given a seminar on the Research Teacher Model (AÖM) for 10 weeks. The research study group formed 57 social information teaching, which studied at a state university in the Mediterranean region during the 2017-2018 educational teaching period, the final class teacher candidate. Karma method is used in research. In the quantitative part of the study, the preliminary test - the final test control group-free experimental research scheme was used. Qualitative data from the work group has also been collected to support quantitative data and to evaluate the process. The data of the research, according to the achievements determined in the application process, was collected with the 15 material evaluation scale prepared by the researchers, taking the expert opinions. The study also included a form of open-end questions prepared with a view of experts in order to support quantitative data and qualifying data from teachers candidates. The data of the study was analyzed using the SPSS program and visual analysis. When the results of the study are evaluated in general, it is possible to say that social information in the working group teachers candidates have achieved the achievements of the AÖM seminar and that the seminar has a positive impact on the teachers candidates in the way they become a research teacher.

A Different Experience For Preservice Social Studies Teachers: Researcher Teacher Model

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to inform the preservice social studies teachers about the “Researcher Teacher Model”, to set forth their development towards becoming researcher teachers and examine their views concerning the process. To that end, the preservice social studies teachers were given a 10-week Researcher Teacher Model seminar. The study group was formed of 57 final-year students from social studies teaching at a state university in Mediterranean Region during academic year 2017-2018. Mixed method was used in the research. In the quantitative research, pretest-posttest without control group experimental research design was used. The qualitative data was also obtained from the study group to support the quantitative findings and evaluate the process. The research data was collected through 15-article RTM Evaluation Scale, prepared by researchers, by taking expert opinions, in line with the acquisitions identified during implementation. To support the qualitative data, the quantitative data was also obtained from the preservice teachers via an open-ended questions form, prepared with the help of expert opinions. The research data was analysed through SPSS software and descriptive analysis. When the research results were generally evaluated, we can say the preservice social studies teachers attained the acquisition aimed with the RTM seminar and it positively affected them to become researcher teachers.
