Abstract:

The expression of conservative thought that arises in different periods and cultures does not indicate a new fact or a new process. It can be said that this form of thought is a critical discourse against modernly known changes, which is the source of the Illumination philosophy. The modernization, which is commonly initiated with the French Antiquity, and the conservative speech that develops in front of it, has spread throughout the world through the thinkers who defend it over time, the press sources that it is addressed and the wide masses that adopt it. The process of modernization of the Turkish society, the topics such as religion, tradition, change, the process of development of the conservative speech and the problems are discussed in the journal Conservative Thought. The purpose of this article is to provide a sociological analysis of the studies in the magazine, which addresses the main topics of the conservative speech, with an interpretative approach and the technique of content analysis.
