BEDEN EĞİTİMİ VE SPOR ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN DUYGUSAL ZEKA DÜZEYLERİNİN FARKLI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

        Bu çalışmanın amacı, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin duygusal zeka düzeylerinin farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Bu araştırma betimleyici tipte bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini Balıkesir ilinde ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan tüm beden eğitimi öğretmenleri oluşturmuştur. Örneklem seçimine gidilmeyip 1 Mart 2015-31 Mayıs 2015 tarihleri arasında araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden toplam 43 beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur.         Verilerin toplanmasında araştırıcı tarafından geliştirilen soru formu ve duygusal zekâ düzeylerini ölçmek için Acar (2002) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan Bar-On Duygusal Zekâ Yeteneği Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 20 paket programı kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan normalite testinde (Shapiro Wilk Testi) veriler normal dağılım göstermediği için non-parametrik analizlerle (Mann Whitney-U ve Kruskal Wallis testleri) incelenmiştir. İstatistiksel testlerin anlamlılık düzeyi olarak p<0.05 değeri kabul edilmiştir.         Sonuç olarak; beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin kişisel beceri boyutunda yüksek puana, genel ruh durumu ve stresle başa çıkma boyutlarında ise düşük puana sahip oldukları tespit edilmiştir.  Ayrıca beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin duygusal zeka düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

    The aim of this study was to investigate in terms of physical education and sports teachers' emotional intelligence levels of different variables.  This research is a descriptive type of research.     The universe of the research was created by all physical education teachers working in primary schools in Balikesir province. A total of 43 physical education teachers who did not choose the sample but accepted to participate in the research between March 1, 2015 and May 31, 2015 were created.     The questionnaire developed by the researcher in collecting data and the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Ability Scale adapted to Turkish by Acar (2002) were used to measure emotional intelligence levels. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20 software package. Non-parametric analyzes (Mann Whitney-U and Kruskal Wallis tests) were performed because the constructed normality test (Shapiro Wilk Test) showed no normal distribution. Statistical significance of the statistical tests was accepted as p <0.05.  As a result; As a result; Physical education and sports teachers have high scores in personal skills, general mood and low scores in stress coping dimensions. It was also found that the levels of emotional intelligence of the physical education and sports teachers were moderate.
