Özet:

Modernism, a program of modernity; art, culture, literature, social structures and daily life to take on a modern structure is a current emerged. While modernity represents a historical process, modernism is its systematic and general rules. Modernism is a movement that opposes the past and the tradition, defends the necessity of examining, discussing and questioning everything from trade to philosophy, and destroying the old values and building the modern one. In this context, the traditional, social, political and cultural values that have lost the validity of the current, the connection with the past and all the bonds and social problems together with the individual "loneliness and alienation" will cause. In this study, the criticism of modernism was examined in Yavuz Bülent Bakiler's poems. In the poems of Bakis, modernism and urbanization phenomenon, the loss of values unique to the Turkish society, the intellectual adopting the Western lifestyle and alienating from the realities of its own country, turned into a cybernetic person topics such as has been voiced. The poet needs to question the innovations that come with social change as an intellectual with his poems and he emphasized that the ideas imposed under the name of modernism is the policy of de-recognition.
