Bu çalışmada, Kayseri’de ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin psikolojik şiddete maruz kalma düzeyleri ile motivasyon düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma grubu, gönüllü katılım koşuluyla rassal örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen toplam 170 katılımcıdan oluşmuştur. Veri toplama araçları olarak kişisel bilgi formu, Yatçı Ehi (2011) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Psikolojik Şiddet (Mobbing) Ölçeği” ve Aksoy (2006) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “Motivasyon Düzeyi Belirleme Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde; Psikolojik Şiddet Ölçeği’nin mesleğe, şahsa ve sosyal yaşama yönelik mobbing alt boyutlarında, psikolojik şiddet toplam ölçek boyutunda ve motivasyon ölçeği boyutunda cinsiyet, medeni durum ve hizmet yılı değişkenleri puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır. Katılımcıların motivasyon ölçeği puan ortalamaları ile psikolojik şiddet (mobbing) ölçeğinin alt boyutlarından; mesleğe yönelik mobbing puan ortalamaları arasında negatif yönde orta düzeyde, şahsa yönelik mobbing puan ortalamaları arasında negatif yönde düşük düzeyde ve sosyal yaşama yönelik mobbing puan ortalamaları arasında negatif yönde düşük düzeyde ve psikolojik şiddet (mobbing) toplam ölçek boyutu puan ortalamaları arasında ise negatif yönde orta düzeyde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkilerin olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak; katılımcıların psikolojik şiddete maruz kalma düzeyleri ile motivasyon düzeyleri arasında ters yönlü bir korelasyon olduğu bulunmuştur.
