COVİD-19 SALGINI SÜRECİNDE MATEMATİK DERSİNİN UZAKTAN EĞİTİM İLE VERİLMESİNE YÖNELİK ÖĞRENCİ GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract:

Çin’den tüm dünyaya hızlı bir şekilde yayılan corona virüsüne (Covid-19) karşı ülkeler bir dizin tedbir almaya çalışmıştır. Türkiye’de de 16 Marttan itibaren okullar tatil edilip okulda yüz yüze verilmesi gereken eğitim uzaktan eğitim şeklinde sürdürülmüştür. Bu çalışmada Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde ortaokul 7. Sınıf öğrencilerinin matematik dersinin uzaktan eğitim ile verilmesine yönelik görüşleri incelenmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, Ankara’nın Yenimahalle ilçesinde bulunan Şehit Ali Öztürk Ortaokulunda öğrenim gören otuz öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma için örneklemede amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya ilişkin sorular öğrencilere, gruplar halinde zoom üzerinden yöneltilerek odak grup görüşmesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada soru formundan elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz tekniği ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin çoğunun matematik dersini uzaktan eğitimle işlemeyi sınıfta olmayan teknolojik imkanlardan faydalanabilme yönünden yararlı buldukları fakat internet veya cihaz kaynaklı problemlerden dolayı derse katılmakta güçlük yaşadıkları görülmüştür. Bunun yanında yine öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun dersin içeriği ve materyallerin yeterli olduğu yönündeki görüşlerinin ağırlıklı olduğu görülmüştür

Countries against the rapidly spread corona virus (Covid-19) from China to the world have tried to take a directory of measures. In Turkey, from March 16th, schools will be vacated and faced-to-face education in the form of distance education is continued. In this study Covid-19 pandemic process in high school 7. The opinions of classmates to teach mathematics lessons by distance learning have been studied. For this purpose, the research methods of quality research have been used. The study was conducted with thirty students studying at the Şehit Ali Öztürk High School located in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara. The method of sampling is used for the study. Questions related to the study were addressed to students through zoom in groups and focused on group interviews. In the study, the data obtained from the question form was analyzed using the visual analysis technique. The research found that many students found that processing mathematics with distance learning was useful in the way of taking advantage of non-class technological facilities, but they had difficulty participating in the lesson due to internet or device-related problems. In addition, the majority of students have seen their opinions about the content of the lesson and the material is sufficient.

Countries have tried to take a series of measures against the corona virus (Covid-19), which spread rapidly from China to the whole world. In Turkey, schools were suspended as of March 16, and the education that should be given face to face at school continued in the form of distance education. In this study, the views of secondary school 7th grade students on the teaching of mathematics lessons by distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic were examined. For this purpose, case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study was carried out in Yenimahalle, Ankara. For the study, the criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used. Questions about the research were asked to the students in groups via zoom. focus group discussion was conducted. In the study, the data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed with the descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was seen that most of the students found the distance education lesson useful in terms of benefiting from the technological opportunities that are not available in the classroom, but they had difficulty in attending the lesson due to internet or device-related problems. In addition, it has been seen that the majority of the students' views that the content of the course and the materials are sufficient are predominant.
