Nicholas of Cusa, 15. yy. felsefesinde önemli bir kavşağı temsil eder. Orta Çağ’da Skolastik düşüncenin tahakkümü altındaki bilim ve felsefenin âlem tasavvurunun Rönesans’la birlikte farklılaşmasında Cusa’nın eklemlendiği felsefe geleneğinin etkisinin bulunduğu söylenebilir. Cusa, Platon felsefesi temelinde ortaya koyduğu teolojik varlık anlayışıyla sonlu ile sonsuz arasında net bir ayırıma gitmiştir. Tanrı’nın birliği fikrini merkeze alarak şekillendirdiği teolojisinde, bu birlik perspektifinde geliştirdiği Tanrı- âlem ilişkisini diyalektik bir yaklaşımla aynılık ve gayrılık kavrayışı içerisinde ele almıştır. Cusa, Tanrı’yı ve varlığının devamını Tanrı’ya borçlu olduğundan dolayı âlemi bir açıdan ayniyet içerisinde görerek, onların mahiyetçe bilinemez olduğunu savunmuş ve bu sahadaki bilgisizliği Tanrısal bir idrake bağlı kılarak olumlamıştır. Diğer yandan içinde yaşadığı dönemin ruhuna uygun olarak geliştirdiği hümanist, septik ve bilimsel bilginin imkânlarını göz ardı etmeyen bakış açısıyla, âlemin bilgisini elde edeceğini düşündüğü matematiksel yöntemle adeta modern bilim ve felsefenin haberciliğini yapmıştır. Bu çalışma, Nicholas of Cusa’nın felsefesinde yer alan varlık anlayışını Tanrı-âlem ilişkisi çerçevesinde incelemek için yapılmıştır.
Nicholas of Cusa, 15th century. It represents an important cross in philosophy. In the Middle Ages, it can be said that the influence of the philosophical tradition in which Cusa was added in the distinction of the universe design of science and philosophy under the domination of the scolastic thought with the Renaissance. Cusa has come to a clear difference between the infinity and the infinity with the theological concept of being which he revealed on the basis of Platon’s philosophy. In his theology in which God shaped the idea of unity by focusing on it, he addressed the relationship between God and the universe that he developed from this perspective of unity with a dialectic approach in the concept of equality and inequality. Cusa, because he owes God and his continuation of existence to God, saw the universe in a sense of equality, defended that they were unknown in a sense, and made the ignorance in this field positive by linking it to a divine idrake. On the other hand, with a view that does not ignore the possibilities of humanist, septic and scientific knowledge he developed in accordance with the spirit of the time in which he lived, he made the message of modern science and philosophy by the mathematical method he thought he would gain knowledge of the universe. This study was done to study the understanding of the existence in Nicholas of Cusa's philosophy within the framework of the relationship between God and the universe.
