This study aims to examine the social practices and processes that make it possible to transform an ordinary street into an alternative social space in the case of Yüksel and Konur Streets Pedestrian Zone. It will be examined as a case of Asef Bayat’s “Street Politics” which describes the active use of public spaces by subjects through everday life that reshaped and transformed the usage. By examining social practices in this area and through in-depth interviews with actors, the subject at hand will be examined in the historical process.
