The aim of the present study was to examine the association of personality traits with pro-social and anti-social behaviors among university students. The study also investigated gender differences on pro-social and anti-social behaviors. University students (N = 300) including boys and girls provided information on Big Five Personality Inventory, Helping Attitude Scale and Anti-Social Behavior Scale. Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were major data analysis strategies. Findings depicted that extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and conscientiousness were positively associated with pro-social behaviors whereas neuroticism was inversely related to pro-social behaviors. However, neuroticism was positively associated with anti-social behaviors. The findings have applied significance for university students. The research findings have theoretical as well as practical significance as not only the association of personality factors with pro-social and anti-social behaviors was proved but one step ahead of it is to understand that these the personalities of students which led their heling and hurting behaviors in the society.
