21. yüzyılda gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte yayılım gösteren “dijital kültür” pek çok alanda kullanılan önemli bir araçtır. Dijital kültürün en çok kullanıldığı alanların başında çizgi film sektörü gelmektedir. Günümüzde çizgi filmler, toplumların kültürel özelliklerini ve değerlerini yansıtması bakımından önemli bir görevi üstlenmektedir. Bu bakımdan çizgi film sineması, folklor bilimi ile yakından ilişkili olup çizgi filmlerin de önemli kaynakları arasında yer almaktadır. Dünyada ve Türkiye’de yayınlanan çizgi filmlerinin çoğunun Batı kaynaklı olması ve Batı kültürünü yansıtması, yerel kültüre yabancılaşan nesiller yetişmesine neden olmaktadır. Fakat son yıllarda Türk yapımı çizgi filmlerin sayısında bir artış yaşanması ve bu filmlerde yerel kültüre ait özelliklerin bulunması önemli bir gelişme olmuştur. Bu noktada önemli örnekler arasında 2016 yılında yayınlanan “Canım Kardeşim Benim - Uzaylılar mı Gelmiş” çizgi filmi yer almaktadır. Daha çok çocuk izleyici kitlesine hitap eden bu çizgi filmi, çekirdek bir ailenin tatil için gittikleri bir kasabada Müge, Mine ve Mete isimli kardeşlerin ormanda iki uzaylı ile karşılaşmalarını ve onlarla yaşadıkları maceralarını konu edinmektedir. Filmde Türk toplumuna ait pek çok kültür öğesi bulunmaktadır. Buradan hareketle bu makalede amaç, folklorun çizgi filmlerle olan ilişkisini irdelemek ve “Canım Kardeşim Benim Uzaylılar mı Gelmiş?” çizgi filminde yer alan folklorik unsurları tespit edip bu unsurları analiz etmektir.
The “digital culture” which is spread along with the 21st century’s advanced technology is an important tool used in many areas. The main areas of the digital culture are the cartoon industry. Currently, cartoons play an important role in reflecting the cultural characteristics and values of communities. In this regard, the cartoon cinema is closely related to the folklore science and is among the important sources of cartoon films. The majority of the cartoons published in the world and in Turkey are from the West and the reflection of the Western culture causes generations to grow foreign to the local culture. But in recent years there has been an increase in the number of Turkish-made cartoons and the presence of characteristics of local culture in these films has been a significant development. This point includes important examples of the 2016 cartoon "My dear brother is mine - Aliens have come." This cartoon, which attracts the audience of more children, tells the story of the brothers, Muge, Mine and Mete, who meet two aliens in the forest and the adventures they live with in a city where a core family is on vacation. The film features many cultural elements of the Turkish society. From here, the purpose of this article is to explore the relationship of the folklore with the cartoons and "My dear brother, have my aliens come?" It is to identify and analyze the folklore elements in the cartoon.
“Digital culture”, which develops and spreads rapidly with the developing technology in the 21st century, is an important tool used in many fields. The cartoon movie industry is one of the areas where digital culture is used the most. Cartoon cinema, which has an important place in mass media, undertakes an important task in terms of reflecting the cultural characteristics and values of societies. In this respect, cartoon cinema is closely related to the science of folklore and is among the important sources of cartoon cinema. The fact that most of the cartoons published in the world and in Turkey are of Western origin and reflect Western culture, causes generations to grow up alienated from the local culture. However, there has been an increase in the number of Turkish-made cartoons in recent years. Finding and emphasizing the features of local culture in these Turkish-made films has been an important development. At this point, among the important examples is the “My Dear Sıster: Have They Come Alıens?” published in 2016. This cartoon, which appeals to a mostly child audience, is about the encounters of Müge, Mine and Mete with two aliens in the forest and their adventures with them in a town where a nuclear family goes for a holiday. There are many cultural elements of Turkish society in the film. From this point of view, the aim of this article is to examine the relationship between folklore and cartoons and to examine the question “My Dear Sıster, Have They Come Alıens?” The aim is to identify the folkloric elements in the movie and analyze these elements.
