Surah Al-Âdiyât is one of the first Makkah surahs. In the Tafsir tradition, it was thought that the first five verses depicted horses running with bated breath in a jihad/war environment or camels running from Arafat to Muzdalifa and then to Mina. It was difficult to connect with the following six verses when the first five verses were stuck in the horses’ running / fighting interpretation. It is seen that the same idea continues in most of the translations made into Turkish. In this study, the Surah Al-Âdiyât was tried to be re-evaluated by taking into account the words of Abu Jahl, who saw the Prophet’s height and height in a race for superiority and thought that they were running like them horses, which entered the Siyar books. Abu Jahl is not the only one who thinks so. The leaders of other tribes also think like him. This competitive environment and the feeling of defeat raised by the appearance of our Prophet have brought their hostility to the top. One of the most important reasons for the violent opposition in the early years of Mecca, tribal anger, has been criticized in the Surah by expressing a questioning approach through the dissidents’ fictions. Indeed, the hostility generated at the end of this false fiction and which will lead to the death of our Prophet will be held to account. The last emphasis in the Surah is that Allah Ta’ala is aware of everything going on. The current siyar narrations reflect the environment of the Surah’s revelation well. With the help of comments that have entered the classical tafsir literature and the contribution of siyar narrations, Surah Âdiyât has been re-explained the meaning, and a tafsir of interpretation (meal) experiment has been conducted in the conclusion section.
