Özet:

As of 2020, the "new normal" created by the kovid-19 epidemic has brought a new perspective to healthcare professionals in their health belief, emotion and behavior, and healthcare professionals who have been exposed to verbal and physical violence from the past to the present have been met with a different understanding in the light of this perspective. Because, in this process, people could not remain indifferent to the situation in question, as the leading actors of the struggle had perhaps the most difficult days of their professional lives. Especially through the information conveyed on this subject in the mainstream media, people have acted in the spirit of unity and togetherness, healthcare professionals who were on the agenda with violence until before the epidemic, were suddenly at the center of various supports and gratitude wishes. However, this environment of peace in physical and virtual spaces have not last long, health workers have started to be mentioned with violence again, so the support discourses at the beginning of the epidemic remained artificial and temporary. Fort his reason, in order to reveal this two-way process, a research was conducted within the scope of social media, focusing first on support and then on hate speech. Thus, the widespread use of hate speech has also been revealed in the context of healthcare professionals. These two separate periods, which are discussed with the theoretical infrastructure of health communication and hate speech, have been examined with semiotic analysis and discourse analysis in line with the data obtained from the two hashtags opened on Twitter. It is possible to evaluate the transformations experienced as a result of the analysis with an "I" centered understanding. Hate speech against health workers, which constitutes an important part and indeed the beginning of violence in health, is an important problem targeting a profession for the first time by going beyond the basic types of the concept. In this respect, it is hoped that the study will raise awareness about developing individual awareness for them.
