Abstract:

Internal and external quality assurance in higher education system includes comprehensive, systematic, and regular the evaluation of quality levels of education, leadership, research, and social contribution activities as well as administrative services of higher education institutions. In the study, the institutional accreditation reports of universities authorized by YÖKAK as fully accredited were analyzed with the MAXQDA program to reveal the characteristics of the institutions that have successfully completed the institutional accreditation program in higher education. Among the benefits of the institutional accreditation process for universities are supporting quality culture, public disclosure, innovative practices unique to the institution, the university’s priority areas, monitoring, dissemination, defined processes, and stakeholder participation.
