Özet:

Nurses and midwives have faced many difficulties during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among these challenges, the most striking ones are the long and tiring working hours, overtime work, unfair distribution of duties, staff shortages, being assigned to work in unfamiliar institutions or services, not being understood by managers, and working with protective equipment and with material shortages. Through the Women's Health Nursing Association, voices have been given to the problems faced by our colleagues during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The "COVID-19 Management Guide in Pregnancy and Postpartum Period" was prepared for our colleagues. Public disclosures were made to raise awareness that women and children, who are often the victims of violence, are more exposed to domestic violence during the pandemic. In addition, we participated in a petition campaign in order not to employ pregnant nurses and midwives in pandemic services. In addition, a study was conducted to identify the problems faced by colleagues.
