The new type of coronavirus epidemic is thought to cause significant problems in sexual and reproductive health services, such as maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity risk, unmet need for family planning, and increased unsafe curettage. The right to sexual and reproductive health is a situation that requires urgent, fair, and continuous service and investment and is important in public health issues. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the problems in basic sexual and reproductive health services during pandemic periods. Midwives should work in their fields of duty, especially during pandemic periods; identify risky groups in midwives working in the field; and make an effort to provide more sexual and reproductive health services. In this way, health system failures that can have devastating effects on women, families, and society can be prevented. This review article aims to emphasize the effect of the pandemic on women, reveal the problems in sexual and reproductive health services that may arise from the epidemic, and offer suggestions for solving the problems.
