The Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole, world has also affected education activities like many other areas of life. As a result of the rapid spread of the pandemic in our country, education was suspended in all educational institutions, and then the online education system has been introduced. However, this transition has brought some problems for the applied courses. Especially faculties such as architecture, where applied courses are more important than theoretical ones, have had difficulties adapting to this change. In all architecture faculties, 7 weeks of the spring semester of 2019-2020 and the whole 2020-2021 education term were carried out online. In the 2021-2022 education term, because of the effect of the vaccination, the impact of the pandemic has decreased, and a hybrid (mixed) education system was adopted with the decision of the Council of Higher Education. As a result of this decision, all applied courses were carried out face-to-face and theoretical courses were conducted online. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the positive and negative effects of face-to-face education, online education and hybrid education systems applied today on design education from the perspective of students and to make determinations and suggestions about the ideal architectural education system in the future, specific to the Trakya University Department of Architecture. As a method, the phenomenological approach, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study and the data obtained were evaluated with the descriptive analysis method. The data obtained because of the questionnaire study, in which 17 students from Architectural Project 4-5 and Graduation Project students who have experienced all three education systems voluntarily participated, and face-to-face interviews with the students were analyzed. In the conclusion part of the study, the students' perspectives on the efficiency of the applied courses were evaluated within the scope of face-to-face, online and hybrid education models. According to research results, if architectural design education is continued online, it is necessary to provide advanced technologies and to implement the concept of virtual reality with appropriate versions. In the hybrid education system, the online continuation of the theoretical courses and the fact that they are recorded increases the success of the students in the project courses because of the time savings. The hybrid education system, in which traditional face-to-face and online education systems are used together, is thought to be the most efficient education system for the future, eliminating the disadvantages of both systems.
