Azerbaycan’ın Sovyet ihtilalinden önceki son nesline mensup olan Süleyman Sani Ahundov, çağdaş Azerbaycan edebiyatının gelişmesine katkı sağlamış önemli müelliflerdendir. Azerbaycan Türk halkının medeni yönden gelişmesine dikkate değer katkılar sağlamış öncü şahsiyetlerdendir. Azerbaycan’da maarifçi, pedagog, çocuk edebiyatçısı, dramaturg, hikâyeci ve gazeteci kimlikleriyle tanınan Süleyman Bey, edebiyat sahasında kendisiyle aynı soyadı taşıyan Mirza Fethali Ahundov’dan farkını vurgulamak için “ikinci” anlamına gelen “Sani” mahlasını kullanır. Başta tiyatro olmak üzere hikâye ve çocuk edebiyatı sahalarında verdiği eserleriyle daha fazla dikkat çeker. Gori İlköğretmen Okulu (Müellimler Seminariyası) mezunu olan, uzun yıllar öğretmenlik ve okul müdürlüğü vazifelerinde bulunan edip, ömrü boyunca edebiyatın yanı sıra eğitim sahasında da yoğun faaliyetler sürdürür. Yeni neslin çağın gereklerine uygun biçimde eğitilmesi için çaba sarf eden Ahundov toplumdaki cahillik, eğitimsizlik, atalet, kadın hukuksuzluğu ve batıl inançlarla mücadele eder. O dönemdeki okulların ihtiyacını göz önünde bulundurarak yakın arkadaşlarıyla birlikte ortak çalışmalar yapan Süleyman Sani, zengin içerikli okul kitapları ile yıllık ders plan ve programları hazırlar. Çocuklara yönelik didaktik ve eğitici hikâyeler kaleme alır. Azerbaycan öğretmenlerinin birinci kurultayında aktif görevler üstelenen müellif, sunduğu bildiride önceden hazırladığı projeden yola çıkarak Arap alfabesinin ıslahı için teklif sunar. Bu makale çalışması ile amacımız Süleyman Sani Ahundov’un Türkiye›de layıkıyla tanıtılmasını sağlamak, hakkında yeni ilmî araştırmalar yapacak akademisyenlere öncülük etmektir.
Süleyman Sani Ahundov, who is a member of the last generation of Azerbaijan before the Soviet revolution, is one of the important authors who contributed to the development of contemporary Azerbaijani literature. He is one of the leading figures who has contributed remarkably to the civilized development of the Azerbaijan Turkish people. Mr. Süleyman, known as a teacher, pedagogue, children’s literature writer, dramatist, story writer and journalist in Azerbaijan, uses the pseudonym “Sani”, which means “second” to emphasize his difference from Mirza Fethali Ahundov, who bears the same surname in the field of literature. He attracts more attention with his works he has given in the fields of story and children’s literature, especially in theatre. Graduated from Gori School of Elementary School Teachers (Seminar of Teachers), he worked as a teacher and school principal for many years, and throughout his life, he continues intensive activities in the field of education as well as literature. Striving for the education of the new generation in accordance with the requirements of the age, Ahundov struggles with ignorance, lack of education, inertia, superstitions and injustice against women. Taking into account the needs of the schools in that period, Süleyman Sani, who worked together with his close friends, prepares comprehensive school books and annual lesson plans and programs. He writes didactic and educational stories for children. The author, who took active roles in the first congress of Azerbaijani teachers, makes a proposal for the improvement of the Arabic alphabet based on the project he prepared beforehand. Our aim with this article is to ensure that Süleyman Sani Akhundov is properly introduced in Turkey and to lead scientists who will conduct new scientific research about him.
