Araştırmanın amacı özel güvenlik öğrencilerinin risk analizi kavramını nasıl algıladıklarını metaforlar aracılığı ile belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 öğretim yılında Kocaeli Üniversitesi Özel Güvenlik Bölümünde önlisans öğrenimi gören 76 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğrenciler ikinci sınıf olup risk analizi dersini almış ve gönüllü olarak çalışmaya katılmışlardır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomoloji (olgu bilim) deseni kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerden “risk analizi” kavramına yönelik algılarını ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla “Risk analizi……….gibidir/benzer; çünkü………..” cümlesini tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Öğrencilere metafor cümlesi içeren form yazılı olarak verilmiştir. Toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi kullanarak analiz edilmiştir. Özel güvenlik öğrencilerinin risk analizi kavramıyla ilgili olarak 62 farklı metafor oluşturdukları görülmüştür. En fazla anne, araba, merdiven ve çelik yelek metaforlarının olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin oluşturduğu metaforlar altı kategoride toplanmıştır. Bu kategoriler; yol gösterici, tehlikeleri önleme, güvenlik sistemleri, tehlikeleri kontrol altına alma ve durum analizi olarak oluşturulmuştur. Öğrencilerin risk analizi kavramına ilişkin oluşturduğu metaforların olumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin oluşturdukları metaforlar incelendiğinde; risk analizi yapmanın önemli olduğunu ve mesleki açıdan risk analizinin önceden oluşabilecek tehlike ve tehditlere karşı hazırlıklı olunmasını sağlayacağını düşündükleri sonucuna varılmıştır.
The purpose of the research is to determine how special security students perceive the concept of risk analysis through metaphors. The research study group consists of 76 students who underwent pre-graduate studies in the Kocaeli University's Special Security Department in the 2021-2022 academic year. Students were second-class and took a risk analysis course and participated in their work voluntarily. The research methods of phenomology (evolutionary science) have been used. To reveal their perceptions of the concept of "risk analysis" from students " Risk analysis is ................................ He was asked to complete his phrase. Students are given a form that contains a metaforic phrase in writing. The data collected was analyzed using the content analysis method. Special security students have found 62 different metaphors in relation to the concept of risk analysis. It has been seen that most of them are mothers, cars, stairs and steel jackets metaphors. The metaphors created by the students are gathered in six categories. These categories are created as guidelines, danger prevention, security systems, danger control and situation analysis. The metaphors that students create regarding the concept of risk analysis have been found to be positive. The study found that when students studied the metaphors they created, they found that risk analysis was important and that professional risk analysis would make them prepared for the risks and threats that could occur in advance.
