In this study, the origin analysis of the nouns used in the Karaman and Konya regions and in the dialects specific to these regions, which have been transferred from Arabic to Turkish, will be made. In the compilation of the words to be analyzed, first of all, a literature review was applied, dialect studies related to these regions were examined and the dictionary parts of these studies were used. In addition to the literature review, semi-structured interview method was used and the words were tried to be compiled from the first person. In order for a noun to be included in this study, it was not considered sufficient to have passed from Arabic to Turkish. On the contrary, it is planned to examine the nouns that largely meet the following conditions: To undergo changes in local dialects, to resemble their origin in terms of meaning and pronunciation, not to appear in the Contemporary Turkish Dictionary of the Turkish Language Institution with the same pronunciation and meaning. The connection between the nouns used in Karaman and Konya regions and carrying the conditions mentioned, with Arabic has been revealed and it has been tried to shed light on the Arabic origin of these names by referring to the basic sources. At the end of the study, it was seen that the connection between Arabic and Turkish is very deep. It has been seen that Arabic words are common in the upper language such as politics, law and literature, as well as in the public mouth. In addition, it has been determined that the words reached and whose roots are thought to be Arabic have differences from region to region. In the study, after a short introductory section, there will be a section where the origin analysis of the nouns determined by the literature review and interview method will take place. In this section, words will be mentioned in alphabetical order. Finally, the study will end with a conclusion section.
This study will conduct an analysis of the origins of the names used in Karaman and Konya and in the mouths of Arabic to Turkish in these areas. In the compilation of the words to be analyzed first referred to the literature scan, the oral studies conducted in relation to the areas concerned, the vocabulary parts of these studies were used. In addition to the scan of literature, a semi-configured conversation method was used, the words were tried to be compiled from the first mouth. It was not enough that a name was translated from Arabic to Turkish to be included in this study. On the contrary, it is planned to be examined the names that have been changed in local mouths, that they are similar to their origin in terms of meaning and pronunciation, and that they are not included in the current Turkish Dictionary of the Turkish Language Authority in the same form and meaning. The names used in Karaman and Konya areas and carrying the mentioned conditions have been revealed with the Arabic and the main sources have been referred to to the Arabic origin of these names. At the end of the study, the connection between Arabic and Turkish was very deep. The Arabic words are common in the top languages, such as politics, law and literature, and are quite common in the people’s mouth. It has also been found that the words that were achieved and thought to be Arabic in their roots contained differences from place to place. After a short entry section in the study will come the section where the origins of the names identified by literary scan and the method of conversation will be included. In this section, the words will be mentioned in the alphabetical order. Finally, the work will be done with a result section.
