Gerunds express occurrence, form and state. However, the fact that they are not inflected puts them in the noun class. These are actually verbs that are loaded as nouns, adjectives and adverbs by using them as nouns. They can take noun inflection and possessive suffixes, they can be subject, object, adverb and indirect object in the sentence that is, the name aspects dominate. Gerunds in themselves: I. Ad-verb (infinitive, infinitive), II. Adjective-verb (participium, partip), III. It is divided into three as adverb-verb (gerundium, gerundif). In this study, it is aimed to find the gerunds and to explain the meaning of the functions Old Uyghur story of ‘’Aç Pars’’. Semantics is the science that studies the units in the language in terms of meaning. When the grammar studies are examined, it is seen that only the functions of the suffixes are examined. But the meaning it adds to the word is ignored. For this reason, the meaning of the verb-like suffixes added to the sentence has been tried to be given in the study. The gerunds in the text have been examined under three different headings: noun-verb,adjective-verb and adverb-verb.
