Abstract:

Bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının zorunlu göç nedeniyle ülkemize gelmiş olan öğrencilerin de eğitim gördüğü kültürel açıdan karma öğrenme ortamlarındaki gözlem ve düşüncelerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu genel amaç doğrultusunda araştırma ülkemizde bulunan Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitim ortamlarında yaşadıkları durumu geleceğin öğretmenlerinin bakış açısıyla betimlemesi açısından önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın deseni nitel araştırmada çoklu durum çalışması biçiminde belirlenmiş olmakla beraber çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yoluyla oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada Ankara’nın Altındağ ilçesinde 7 ilkokul amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme esasına göre seçilmiştir. Araştırmada yansıtıcı öğretmen adayı günlüklerinden elde edilen bulgular betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi yoluyla çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları Suriyeli öğrencilerin Türkçe dil yetersizliğinin en önemli problem olduğunu ancak öğrenci, öğretmen, okul iklimi durumlarında karşılaşılan sorunların çözümünde öğretmenlerin mülteci öğrencilerle geçirdiği zamanla bağlantılı olarak sorunların aşıldığının ve kültürler arası iletişim becerilerine dayalı uygulamaların pedagojik etkililik açısından çok önemli olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

this research is important for teachers candidates to reveal observations and thoughts in culturally mixed learning environments that students who have come to our country because of compulsory migration, in line with this general purpose, research is important in terms of the study of the teachers of the situation they live in educational environments of suriye students in our country. the pattern of this research was determined in the form of multiple situation studies in qualitative research, but the study group was created by sampling in the research under the ankara was selected by 7 primary school-purpose sampling methods in the research based on reflective teacher candidates daily findings in terms of communication and the most important educational problems associated with the educational problems

Prospective Primary School Teachers’ Reflections Regarding Multi-cultural Learning Environments*

Abstract:

This paper aims to secure that prospective teachers reflect their observations in and their thoughts about multi-cultural educational environments. In line with this general purpose, the study is significant in that it describes the circumstances that the Syrian students- who are in our country in the context of multi-culturalism- face in educational environments. Despite the fact that this qualitative study uses the design of multiple case study, the study group was formed in purposeful sampling method. Accordingly, 7 schools located in Altındağ, Ankara included in the study were chosen on the basis of criterion sampling. The findings obtained from reflective prospective teacher diaries were put to content analysis. The themes distinguished at the end of the research describe the problems that the Syrian students encounter in learning Turkish, in teachers’ attitudes towards them, in peer bullying, in cultural differences and in classroom management. The results underline the efficiency of intercultural skills development within primary education settings.
