Bu tanımlayıcı kesitsel çalışma, Covid-19 pandemisinde hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinik uygulamalara yönelik algıladıkları stres düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi Hemşirelik Bölümlerinde 2019-2020 bahar döneminde tüm sınıflarda öğrenim gören 252 öğrenci ile 20 Mayıs-20 Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Veriler; Bilgi formu ve Hemşirelik Öğrencileri için Algılanan Stres Ölçeği (HÖASÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerin %52,0’ı Covid-19 hakkında düşünmekten rahatsız olduğunu, %62,2’si kendisinin Covid-19 ile enfekte olduğunu düşündüğünde anksiyetesinin arttığını, %57,9’u Covid-19 tanısı almış bireye bakım vermekten korktuğunu ve %82,1’i Covid-19 tanısı almış bireye bakım verebilecek yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadığını belirtmiştir. Bu çalışmada HÖASÖ toplam puan ortalaması ile öğrencilerin cinsiyeti (p<0.01), hemşirelik mesleğini isteyerek seçme durumu (p<0.01), Covid-19 pandemisinde hemşirelik mesleğine duyulan ilgi durumu (p<0.01), Covid-19 tanısı almış bireye bakım verebilecek bilgiye sahip olma durumu (p<0.01), Covid-19 hakkında düşünmekten rahatsız olma durumu (p<0.01), Covid-19 tanısı almış bireye bakım vermekten korkma durumu (p<0.01) ve Covid-19 ile enfekte olduğunu düşündüğünde anksiyete düzeyinde artma durumu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.01). Bu çalışmada kadın, hemşirelik mesleğini isteyerek seçmeyen, pandemi döneminde hemşirelik mesleğine ilgileri olumsuz şekilde etkilenen, Covid-19 tanısı almış bireye bakım verebilecek bilgiye sahip olduğunu düşünmeyen/bakım vermek istemeyen ve bakım vermekten korkan ayrıca Covid-19 hakkında düşünmekten rahatsız olan öğrencilerin algıladıkları stres düzeyinin yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Algılanan stres düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilere eğitim ve danışmanlık verilmesi önerilebilir.
This identifying cutting study was carried out to determine the level of stress that nursing students perceive for clinical practices in Covid-19 pandemic. The study was conducted in the Necmettin Erbakan University Nursing Departments in the 2019-2020 spring period with 252 students studying in all classes between 20 May and 20 June 2020. The data is collected with the information form and the detected stress scale for nursing students. 52,0% of students said they were unpleasant to think about Covid-19; 62,2% said they had an increase in anxiety when they thought they were infected with Covid-19; 57,9% said they were afraid to take care of the person diagnosed with Covid-19; and 82,1% said they had not enough knowledge to take care of the person diagnosed with Covid-19. In this study, the average score of the UNHCR and the gender of the students (p<0.01), the status of voluntary choice of the nursing profession (p<0.01), the status of interest in the nursing profession in Covid-19 pandemic (p<0.01), the status of knowledge that can provide care to the person diagnosed with Covid-19 (p<0.01), the status of discomfort of thinking about Covid-19 (p<0.01), the status of fear of giving care to the person diagnosed with Covid-19 (p<0.01) and the status of an increase in anxiety when it is considered to be infected with Covid-19 (p<0.01). This study found that women who did not choose their nursing profession voluntarily, who were negatively affected by their interests in the nursing profession during the pandemic period, who did not think they had the knowledge of being able to provide care to the person diagnosed with Covid-19 and who did not want to provide care, and who were afraid of giving care, and who were disagreeed with thinking about Covid-19 were the high stress levels that students perceived. Students with high stress levels may be advised to be taught and advised.
