Abstract:

With industrialization and population growth, the environment tends to disappear from its natural structure by human influence. People, in their daily lives, in the natural environment, change the environmental structure and the environmental impact process. The implemented agricultural and economic innovations, the increased demand for agricultural products and settlements needed by the increase in population, lead to changes in land coverage. This change is difficult and time-consuming process. However, with the development of Geographic Information Systems, these changes are more clearly determined by various methods and analyses. The most prominent of these analyses are LULC and NDVI. For the purpose of determining the changes in land cover in the district of Ünye, the analysis of Land Use Land Cover (Land Use Land Cover) "Maximum Likelihood Classifications" (Maximum Probability Classifications) and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) was used. With these analyses, we have studied the multi-time changes in land coverage that occurred between 1985-2000-2017 years. The changes in land coverage in the district of Ünye are among the most important reasons that affect the change; misuse of land, the demand for more agricultural areas and the rapid growth of the population. In this regard, the changes in the land cover over the years have been determined by remote detection and the results of the alansal measurements made according to the CBS analysis, and recommendations on the sustainability of the land existence have been presented.
