Özet:

This article focuses on the ways of cinema history studies until 2020. First of all, cinema history literature was traced by the general scanning method. Then written the history of Turkish cinema was examined. In the light of the information obtained, the characteristics of Turkish cinema historiography studies were determined. The aim of the article is to determine another assembly place for Turkish cinema historiography studies. For the specified purpose, the title “İzleksel Film History” has been called within the scope of the content analysis method. Afterwards, the contents of Turkish films released in the 1990s when relatively few Turkish films were released were analyzed. By the “izleksel” film history, another assembly place of Turkish cinema historiography studies has been tried to be revealed. In the 1990s, it was comprehended that the “izlek” of sexuality changed. The “izlek” of sexuality which was determined with the emphasis on romance, innocence, loyalty, virginity, honor, betrayal, violence, and rape in previous films, progresses with the emphasis on extraordinary, pleasure, choice, exclusion, repression, contradiction, dis/order. In the conclusion section, it has been stated that the interaction between writing the history of cinema and studying the history of cinema. In the studies of Turkish cinema historiography, it is important to gather(s) by establishing cooperation between experts with a scientific approach. In this way, it is foreseen that the factors that direct and transform Turkish cinema and create difficulty in understanding both the historical development and current fluctuations can be reduced.
