Abstract:

Knowledge that forms the basis of the concept of information management that is often encountered in the academic summer or in practice is an entity that differentiates the one that it possesses from the others and provides the possibility of progress; the handful of knowledge, the sharing, the production of new information from the existing information and the provision of continuity; it depends on the use of the individual’s characteristics such as motivation, education, experience, intuition and perception. In addition to this, the critical developments that occurred primarily, including industrial revolutions, have increased the speed of dissemination and exchange of knowledge, and have affected the business processes. The study of these aspects affecting the management of information and the assessment of the explanations for the concept of information management is one of the objectives of this study. Another purpose of the study is to explain the models that make up the theoretical foundations of information management. These models can be ranked in the form of Wiig's Information Creation and Use Management Model, Nonaka and Takeuchi's Information Spiral Model, The Von Krogh and Ross's Organizational Epistemology Model, Meyer and Zack's Information Management Approach, Choo's Intuitive Information Management Model, Alavi's Information Management Model, Bukowitz and William's Information Management Model, McElroy's Information Management Cycle, Evans, Dalkir and Bidian's Information Management Cycle. It is expected that the study of these models, which have not been met in the domestic summer, and if necessary, the presentation of the conceptual, historical and theoretical assessment will contribute to literature.
